Surah Taha. Ayat 15:

Marilah kita lebihkan ibadah

kita dengan mendekatkan diri dengan Allah SWT.

3. Ramadan

Ramadan is the month in which Muslims all around the world fast for 30 days from dawn to dusk. Fasting

is important during Ramadan as it allows Muslims which is ourselves to devote ourselves to faith and

come closer to Allah. Fasting is one of the Five Pillars of Islam, which form the basis of how Muslims live

their lives. Aside from the religious obligations upon Muslims during Holy month of Ramadan, fasting has

countless health benefits too. From improved weight management and healthier blood cell regeneration

through to better heart function and vascular well-being. Therefore, fasting has benefits to ourselves especially from spiritual to physical and mental.

In addition, this month also can increase our ibadah and reflection to our Iman. Many Muslims can increase their ibadah such as praying sunnah, Tarawih prayer, donating, reading the Quran, selawat and others good deeds. Overall, Ramadan is a special month in every Muslim's heart and can increase our faith and closer to Allah SWT.

4. Lailatul Qadr

Lailatul al-Qadr or the night of power, is considered by Muslims to be the holiest night of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting. Lailatul Qadr is the night when the Quran was revealed. This night is considered the night that is better than a thousand months. The exact date of Lailatul al-Qadr is unspecified, but it is believed to occur on one of the last 10 days of the month. Many Muslims believe it is either the night of the 27th day of Ramadan, or one of the odd-numbered nights during the final 10 days of the month. Since no one knows exactly which night marks Lailatul al-Qadr, most Muslims observe all of the last 10 nights of Ramadan by offering extra prayers and reciting the Quran. The night commemorates when the Quran was first revealed to the Prophet Muhammad. The beauty of this night is that no one knows when it is going to happen. So, this is to encourage all Muslims to wake up in the middle of the night and perfom ibadah to Allah SWT.

5. World Quranhour

Playlist: https://youtu.be/2Srzbi8ocXc

World #Quranhour is an initiative programme that created to help all Muslims in learning more about Al-Quran such as learning how to read it properly as well as the meaning behind each verse. This special World #Quranhour episode is about surah As-Sajdah. Many Muslims can recite together with the leader of the recitation on each verse and learn the meaning, insights, and lessons that are being portrayed in each verse. This programme will help us to be closer to the Quran and understand the messages that Allah sent to us, his servants. In conclusion, this programme also conclude the overall lesson and message of surah As-Sajdah.

6. Hadis Berkaitan Hati

  • Daripada Nu’man bin Basyir berkata, aku mendengar Nabi SAW bersabda:

From the hadith, akhirat is mentioned as our end goal in this dunya. This hadith reminds us that akhirat is our goal and dunya is not because dunya is the place for us to worship to Allah. So, having akhirat as higher than dunya would help us not too be blind by the things and entertainment in dunya, as we will always remember Allah and do good deeds.

8. Project Sharing Hadis

REFLECTIONS OF SHARING USRAH SESSIONS:

1. Ta'aruf

What is Ta'aruf? It literally means introduction which is to get know someone or something better.

So, in the first session, we have to introduced ourselves one by one in the session. From the session, we can know all members in this class and know what types of course every members and can make a new friends. It was a great moment to acknowledge all members in this session.

2. Tadarus Al-Quran

For the second session, we do a tadarus Al-Quran which is all members will recite Al-Quran with a meaning too. In this session, we will discuss about the meanings of the verse and connect it with ourselves. There are some members which is brother that also sharing some meaning speech that related to the verse. So, we can conclude that this session which is tadarus Al-Quran has a good and best session that can fulfill our iman and ourselves.

In addition, tadarus or reading of Al-Quran can make us , the muslims to receive a double reward from Allah. The rewards are not only gained through reading but also by listening and watching. One character in the verse of Al-Quran is equivalent to ten deeds of rewards.

3. Fasting and it's benefits

Fasting is important during Ramadan as it allows Muslims which is ourselves to devote ourselves to faith and come closer to Allah. Fasting is one of the Five Pillars of Islam, which form the basis of how Muslims live their lives. Aside from the religious obligations upon Muslims during the Holy month of Ramadan, fasting has countless health benefits too. From improved weight management and healthier blood cell regeneration through to better heart function and vascular wellbeing. In conclusion, fasting has benefits to ourselves especially from spiritual to physical and mental.

4. PALESTINE

This session in class has touch about the conflict of Palestine and Israel. Palestine nowadays theoretically includes the West Bank (a territory that sits between modern-day Israel and Jordan) and the Gaza Strip (which borders modern-day Israel and Egypt). However, control over this region is a complex and evolving situation. In this situation, many areas claimed by Palestinians have been occupied by Israelis for years. This conflict began more increase especially during the last day of fasting and during Eid Mubarak until today. So, we as the Muslims should beware about this Palestine issues and always remind ourselves to always praying to our brothers and sisters in Palestine to get their freedom from Zionist.

5. Tadabbur Surah Musabbihat

Surah Musabbihat is one of the surah that begin with Allah's glorification 'Subhana', 'Sabbaha'and 'Yusabbihu'
This include:

6. Tadabbur Surah Ali Imran (103)

-Two important principles about two verses of Surah Al-Imran. When enacted upon, they make the collective strength of the Muslim Ummah, and if enacted worldwide, the strength of all of humanity invincible. These are:

1. Taqwa

2. Unity

The first principle states that one must “fear Allah”, meaning one should organize and manage his/her life with a full sense of responsibility before Allah, avoiding all that is forbidden or undesirable, doing so in a manner which is “His due”. The second golden principle of unity has been presented with great eloquence and wisdom.

7. Tadabbur Surah Al-Isra'(78-79)

From this surah, we can conclude that Salah is important and required to all Muslims. The best is when we can perfom the earlier salah which is Tahajud prayer and then doing along Subuh prayer which is required to us as the Muslims.

(78. Perform the Salah from midday till the darkness of the night, and recite the Qur'an in the early dawn. Verily, the recitation of the Qur'an in the early dawn is ever witnessed.)
(79. And in some parts of the night (also) offer the Salah with it as an additional prayer for you. It may be that your Lord will raise you to Maqam Mahmud.)

Its Importance and Significance :

1. Groups of usrah are units and chains in the network of strengthening the contemporary Islamic movements and Islamic awareness. Its beginnings in the modern age was pioneered by al syahid Imam Hasan al Banna in the 1920’s and 1930’s at a time when the Muslim world was at its worst period in history and suffering untold backwardness. It was Egypt under British colonial rule and the state of the Muslim ummah throughout was weak and its leadership helplessly dire, lost their will and sense of direction, hopelessly demotivated and their practices straying away from their true religion.

2. The Ikhwan al Muslimoon ( the Islamic movement of that period) managed to break this inferiority complex and rebuilt the ummah’s self confidence, reforming society until Egypt gained independence and the Islamic movement served the ummah well in the early wars against the establishment of Israel.

3. Even though the Ikhwan were tragically and cruelly persecuted by subsequent Egyptian and Arab regimes, but they remained influential and still played a role in the development of Muslim societies in Egypt and the rest of the world until this day.

4. Its significant contribution is the development of a model for reconstruction of Islamic thought and pioneering the movement for Islamic reform and renewal until it spread across the globe, the phenomenon sometimes called “the Islamic resurgence”.

5. Among their contributions are the introduction of the usrah to the ummah and the continuation of the mission and message of dakwah. The mission and message which is none other than the mission and message brought by the Prophets, culminated by the Final Prophethood of Muhammad s.a.w., continued by the companions, the mujahidin, the salihin. The message inviting all of mankind to worship only Allah, truthfully and sincerely.

6. The model of the usrah is used and became widespread by the Muslim movements in all parts of the world. It is now a standard and is commonly practised in universities, colleges, educational institutions, schools, departments, offices, musallas and other organisations.

7. The usrah is the part that complements Islamic consciousness and is the spirit that brings alive and rejuvenates formal Islamic education, its related fields and studies and also makes possible organised Islamic work.
